Seattle's search marketing meetup community. SEO, SEM, PPC, analytics, and AI search, from practitioners who do the work.
Join on MeetupThe Seattle Search Network has been running for well over a decade. Monthly meetings in downtown Seattle brought together in-house marketers, agency operators, freelancers, and founders who work in search: SEO, SEM, PPC, and analytics. The group grew to more than 1,500 members and 113 events before going quiet two years ago. It is now being revived.
The topics have expanded since the early days. Search in 2026 includes AI-generated answers, which means the group now covers answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) alongside the fundamentals. Members come from across the region: Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Everett all have active practitioners in the group.
The organizer is David Pedersen. He has attended and spoken at the group for more than 15 years. Before taking over SSN, David organized Seattle Search Insiders, an invite-only group where every new member required approval of all existing members. That structure existed for one reason: so working practitioners could share tactics, test results, and client stories they would never post publicly. The conversations were candid in a way that conference talks and blog posts are not. That tradition is what SSN is reviving. Regular meetups in a room where people can speak plainly about what is actually working.
Regular meetups are coming back. The first event will be announced shortly. Join the Meetup group to hear it first.
Recaps from meetups will be posted here as the group gets back up and running.
The group works best when practitioners share what they are actually seeing in their accounts, not polished case studies from six months ago. If you have a test result, a workflow, or a read on where search is heading that is worth 10 minutes in front of a room full of people who will push back on it, get in touch via the contact page.
Talks do not need to be formal. Short, sharp, and specific is better than broad and hedged.
These tools are free to use, no account required.
SSN is organized by David Pedersen, founder of SEMalytics, which scores whether your messaging fits the audience reading it.
