How the Estimator Works

The Big Five (OCEAN) model has 50+ years of psychometric validation. People express trait signals in how they describe themselves — word choice, what they emphasize, what they leave out. This tool reads those signals from a LinkedIn profile and returns an estimated profile across Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism.

The estimate carries a confidence score. When signals are thin (a sparse profile, generic corporate language), confidence is low and you should weight the estimate accordingly. When signals are strong, the estimate is directionally reliable enough to inform how you write to this buyer.

Why this beats the "imagined buyer persona"

Most B2B teams write to a composite buyer persona built from interviews and instinct. That composite is usually skewed toward the high-Conscientiousness evaluator (the persona that's easiest to interview). A real buyer's actual OCEAN profile — read from their words — is often very different. This tool gives you the actual profile, not the imagined one.
